When a new tech emerges, the question that plagues every autonomous developer is whether to join the masses or hang back and see what happens. How do you decide?

I have no idea. Sorry if you thought the answer was here. But, I also suck at click bait so…I should have gone with how to decide whether AI is worth investing your time in learning: all the answers you need. Yeah, that would have done it.

AI is the current craze but before that there was AR. And I have to tell you: I loved it. I thought it was the future. I truly did.
Karen bought me an Oculus Rift for Christmas. Strapping that head piece onto my skull and feeling like I could walk forever, or vomit, was amazing.
I quickly thought, what can I do with this Tech. Monetize it. Make money.

Then I got lazy. I did nothing. Kept coding away business apps and such. Learned more about code.

And the world forgot about AR — for the most part. “See in your room” has been replaced with ask AI what you want. The architects, design, and construction industries, arguably the biggest potential for AR, got some niche products but nothing like was promised at the numerous conferences routing the age of Augmented Reality. Id really love to see what my yard would look like after all the planned changes. But not happening, it seems.

So while I loved AR and almost fell into the craze, nothing materialized. I was benefitted by my laziness.

Will the same happen with AR? Will it also drop-off at the next tech that appears
